  Being the mother of three boys, all with different developmental issues, we have spent many hours and dollars at Dr Katie’s office over the past ten years and every penny has been worth it. Her knowledge and advice has kept my head above water on many ocassion and strategies I have implemented at home/school with her guidance have been life changing with my eldest achieving things I never dreamed he would ten years ago.
  Yes, sometimes there is a wait but if my children need extra time, they receive it too. I guess it works in swings and roundabouts. I have never felt not listened to or rushed out the door.
  Doctors, dentists and hospitals are always an extremely traumatic experience for my middle child and this is the only clinic where he has not expressed this anxiety.
  It’s a great feeling as a parent to know (assume) that I have chosen a paediatrician who will see out the 16 years of my boys childhood as both the child and doctor will have a great understanding of each other which makes it a lot easier for me!

  Please please - let kids be kids! Went here was pressured to put my child on medication. From that was advised she can go on other medication to combat depression issues. Just a mess. My child is med free and so much more happier. The education system wants children to be compliant and quiet. The world doesn't need sheep it needs our fierce children. Don't do it! Leave them be! Unless your child has severe issues don't do it. I hope I can save at least one other child from the trauma we went through

  I came to Melbourne childrens clinic after being extremely disappointed in our first pediatrician we saw, my daughter was diagnosed with Autism as well as number of other things, the whole process has been made that little bit easier with a caring doctor and friendly reception staff, they even went that little extra mile to call me to arrange an appointment as soon as our doctor opened her holiday appointment slots to ensure we got the best available time, as aposed to us calling in a week and missing out. Definitely happy, and worth the travel it takes to get there.

  Beware if you've been referred here to get a skin prick test for allergies!
  
  My baby had a severe anaphylactic reaction to nuts so we went to the hospital. The hospital then referred us to the Melbourne children's clinic so that we can get a skin prick test and see what exactly she's allergic to. The following week, I took my baby to the Melbourne children's clinic. Saw the doctor but she refused to do a skin prick test simply because my baby had a bit of eczema on her cheeks (she was teething at the time) and a mild cough (very normal things in babies)... But still charged me $440. I complained as my purpose was to get a test to get to the bottom of the allergies but I was told by the receptionist that it's common with this clinic to have to see the doctor about 3 times before they will do a skin prick test (so that would be all up $440x3= 1320!!!!) Don't know about you, but that sounds ridiculous. I've now booked with another specialist. Waste of time and money. Go elsewhere. If I could, I would leave zero stars but I can't as it won't let me leave a review
